exceeding expectations....one wedding at a time
What should a bride know about me, my expertise and experience?
With passion, creativity and integrity, I started my company, Simply Celebrations & Events, in October of 2006. I am a professional with a background in wedding planning, project management and organization of other bridal events. I have worked for two gourmet caterers, with a local linen rental company and also have coordinated sales meetings and planned exhibitor booths for over ten years. I moved from Massachusetts to beautiful Washington State in 1990. In my family here, I have two teenage children, a wonderful husband and an Austrialian Shepard dog. I am so grateful for my business, family and life!

How much training and education do you have?
My bachelors degree in psychology helps navigate those more delicate emotional aspects of nerves and family matters that arise while planning weddings and other personal events. In the spirit of continued education, I regularly attend classes and workshops in the bridal industry. I completed professional bridal consultant training with honors through the Association of Bridal Consultants last year.

In what ways do you take a leadership role in the wedding community?
I have the privilege of being the organizer of Puget Sound Wedding Professionals Meet-Up in Tacoma, a large group of wedding vendors who meet twice monthly. I contribute to the local Association of Bridal Consultants chapter as the Hospitality Director. As a panelist member for the first Green Your Theme Seattle last year, I spoke about how to create a more eco-friendly wedding. I am the co-sponsor and designer of the Bridal 4-1-1 Workshops, local workshops to provide information and education for brides planning their own wedding.

How is Simply Celebrations & Events different from other companies?
I consider it an honor to be part of your day. Although you will have fun working with me, I want you to know that I take working on your wedding very seriously and very much to heart! My love for all the details and a natural talent for multi-tasking translates well to the successful coordination of weddings. Those qualities, along with a proven ability to network and utilize available resources, will result in a beautiful wedding planning experience for you.

Who do you work well with and who is not the best match for your services?
My favorite brides to work with have opinions and are not afraid to express them. You know what you want. You want to be actively involved in your wedding planning and you want an expert to help you plan it. You want to personalize your wedding day in more than one way. Your vision of your wedding day is that it will be a little slice of who you and your groom are as people. You are classy, unique, honest and down to earth. You are generally a happy person and appreciative of your groom. You may live somewhere else in the USA but you are getting married here in Washington state.

If the description above does not fit you exactly, we might still work well together. However, it is important to me to be a good fit with my brides since we will spend a fair amount of time together on a very important event in a their life. It is crucial that we value each other's time and money and have mutual respect for one another. My complimentary consultation is where we can learn about each other and decide if we want to work  together. If we are indeed not a good match, I can recommend another trusted bridal consultant who might be a better fit for you.

Are your services affordable for brides?
I have a range of services starting from as low as $50.00 up to a few thousand for premium packages. I offer the most sought after packages such as day of wedding coordination and full wedding planning. These are moderately priced for the Puget Sound area.  Most brides can afford to have a professional work with them on their wedding planning. By valuing your own time, money and energy that you will spend planning your wedding, you can see that hiring a professional for some or most of your planning is a worthwhile investment. I can save you time, money and effort during your planning experience.

Does Simply Celebrations & Events take credit cards and are there payment plans available?
I do take credit cards, checks and of course cash. Together with each bridal client, I will work out a payment plan if needed for any packaged service.

This sounds like what I have been looking for. What do I do next to get started?
The best way for us to get started working together is to talk on the phone or connect via email. From here, we can schedule a time to meet in person (if you live in the Puget Sound area) and discuss your plans in greater detail. This first one hour meeting is at no charge for you.
